Lofoten Basecamp - Leknes

I recently had an amazing experience at a cabin in Lofoten, located on a wooden deck above a fjord. the views from the outside deck were breathtaking, with mountains and an opening to the ocean. the cabin itself was clean and comfortable, equipped with everything needed for a cozy stay. I especially enjoyed the sauna with its beautiful view and the ability to swim in the cold water. the owner/manager, Rolf, was incredibly friendly and helpful, even bringing us cookies and chocolate. the location was also convenient, with a short drive to the airport, Viking museum, and other attractions. I highly recommend Lofoten Basecamp for a memorable stay in Lofoten. Cons: Nothing not to love! 😊.

loved our recent family holiday in Leknes. Lofoten Basecamp exceeded expectations with engaging host, well-thought-out cabin, underfloor heating, well-equipped kitchen, spacious veranda. Easy access to main road for exploring. Enjoyed mountain climb for amazing views. Wish we could have stayed longer!

Our group of 5 had a great 5-day stay at Lofoten Basecamp as a perfect location to explore Lofoten. Rolf and Mariann were great hosts, ensuring we had all we needed. The units are well equipped, very clean, and have huge decks over the water. Staff is friendly and helpful, the view from the balcony is nice, and the decor is lovely. Kitchen equipment is sufficient and the cabin is close to OFFERSOYKAMMEN hiking trail.

Strongly recommend this hotel.

The location of the hotel is convenient, with beautiful views and just a short drive to nearby beaches. the rooms are comfortable and well-equipped with everything you need for a pleasant stay. the staff is friendly and helpful, providing excellent service and making you feel at home.

The hotel is not easy to access without a car, but alternative transportation options are available.

The cabins at Lofoten Basecamp are spacious, well-equipped, and beautifully designed. the sauna with a transparent wall provides an amazing Norwegian experience. the hosts are welcoming, kind, and offer local insights and recommendations.

Felt safe walking at night, no complaints whatsoever.

I had an really good 3 night stay at Lofoten Basecamp and I would give it an 11/10 rating if I could. The cabin was fantastic and clean, with everything well thought out. The views from the cabin were magnificent and the kitchen was well equipped. I also had a great talk with Rolf, the host, who was very knowledgeable about Lofoten and Norway. The location was ideal for exploring the beautiful area and there were excellent hikes nearby. I highly recommend this hotel.

We had a great Christmas getaway! the cabin had all the amenities we needed, including a fully equipped kitchen and a cozy fireplace. the location was perfect, nestled in the beautiful Lofoten region, with stunning views of the surrounding nature. We also enjoyed the peaceful and relaxing atmosphere of the cabin, away from the hustle and bustle of the city.

There were a couple of downsides to our stay. the lack of good curtains in the bedrooms upstairs meant that it was difficult to sleep due to the constant daylight during the summer nights.

Perfect central location for exploring Lofoten, stunning harbor view from the house with a huge balcony, well-equipped kitchen for saving money, comfortable beds.

Felt like treated like royalty, nothing to complain about.

Easy check-in, great location, comfortable house, beautiful terrace with a view, private sauna, caring host.

The sauna was a perfect way to relax during rainy/foggy weather. Convenient location for hiking. Great parking. Modern, clean facilities. Well-equipped kitchen. Late check-in was hassle-free.

Felt welcomed, no complaint.
